Walk Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park:

The Best of Downtown and Stanley Park -2.5 Hours Walking or by Scooter
We couldn’t have asked for more! Doug was the perfect tour guide, when we recently visited Vancouver. We toured Downtown, Stanley Park, and enjoyed Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont. He thoroughly researched the route to ensure we would be able to access the trails while using our Mobility scooters. Allowing us to stop for photos and rest stops as we wanted along the route.

This tour is perfect for groups of 4 people or less. The tour starts in front of the Pan Pacific Hotel and cruise ship terminal, then to the Olympic Flame mountain views. We hug the waterfront parkland with the city on one side and the ocean and mountains on the other.

We will then enter beautiful Stanley Park and for an hour we will explore the forests and gardens, get close and personal with totem poles, and explore the 8000 year history of human occupation. This park is continuously ranked one of the Greatest Parks in the World.

We then will hop on a bus and 10 minutes later we will be back downtown. We will then explore many of the beautiful streets and buildings of downtown Vancouver. We recommend an 8:30 am P. S. T. start time but will accept tours until 2:00 pm.
IDEAL for Electronic Scooters and anyone who prefers sea level walking.

Doug gave us a great half day overview of the Vancouver highlights. We liked the combination of walking, train and boat taxi. He was very friendly and open to answering any questions we had. I would highly recommend Doug for others looking for an intro to this beautiful city.

For friends and family. . . This is the most relaxing and stress-free walking tour you can get anywhere. Why. . because we walk around downtown Vancouver: then hop on a train for 5 minutes, then walk around historical Yaletown. We then stroll 2 blocks to the beautiful sheltered False Creek waterway and board a False Creek Ferry to Granville Island.

Shops, artisans, marketplaces are what tourists usually see but we will also explore the areas where the locals shop and play. Then it is back to wherever you want to in downtown Vancouver. We recommend a start time of 8:30 am P. S. T. but will accept tours up until 2pm.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Doug has great information and history about the city and the region, and he places it in fascinating context given his knowledge about the rest of the world and given how well traveled he is. He covered a great amount of the city too. We had a delightful time.

You will see our local mountains, and the ocean, the two elements that make Vancouver so unique: and our beautiful street vistas. We will make our way to False Creek and hop on a False Creek Ferry to Granville Island, the jewel of Vancouver. We had a great tour with Doug . . . he contacted me just prior to our arrival in Vancouver and offered to meet us at our hotel, which was a great help and allowed him to show us some of the city as we headed to Granville Island! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and enjoyable to listen to! Afterwards, he emailed me answers/information about some of the questions we had as well as a link to a recipe for the Nanaimo bars that he treated us to! It was a wonderful way to start our visit!!
